Running home

Running home on 1 July 2010

Phew... Been a while since I last blog
Apologies guys 

Been bogged down with work and relationship.....

Did something different last nite. Instead of taking the rain home as what I always do, I ran home

Not all the way home though but halfway through.

My running route
start at the btm of marang trail run up to mt faber - henderson wave - alexandra skywalk - hort park - science park - NUH - Clementi.

From clementi, took train home in running attire

My clothes and personal belongings all left in office. Would say this is the 2nd time I do run at Mt Faber

Remember running the mt faber run was a challenge ESP the slopes 

I wouldn't do the run after work if alone. Run with a friend of mine; jeff

Frankly, it is his running home route once a week. Since both of us sign up for marathon, thought it be good to train together if time permits us since he is occasionally in harbor front office

Marang trail run
Short route only about less than 2km
The challenge was not the distance but rather the gradient. Marang trail run is an upslope run. Running the path up ain't easy. It gets one to perform at the peak and gets one fully warmed up. It is sure a demanding up slope run.

Out of marang trail, run pass through jewel box at Mt Faber heading down to Henderson waves

Frankly these two routes are pretty nice and quite serene. It's a good way to distress after work.

Alexandra skywalks is pretty amazing. Nice place to run. A pity it rain earlier and the ground was a bit wet. It was a breeze jogging through since it's a gentle downward slope and in zig zag format.
End of Alexandra is the deciding point whether to continue forward, stop and take bus home or u turn back to office.

Having picked up the pace, we continued our slow jog to hort park then to science park. An upward slope all the way I say.... It's amazing I ran the route without water
But I hydrate myself well before the run

Just a note, hitting hort park is
Point of not return. Once u hit hot park is all the way to science pArk and out to civiliasiation..

It's a nice scenic run with many upwards slopes
